'People are fearful' - why 'unstoppable force' Arsenal are the team to beat.

There's no doubt why Arsenal have become many people's favorites to win the Premier League this season.

Consider their results against West Ham and Crystal Palace versus those same matches last season.

The Gunners have defeated all of them this time around, but dropped 10 points across those games as they faded in the title race previously.

Impenetrable Defense

Arsenal's backline resilience is a key reason why they are appearing strong to finally fulfil their title target.

They rank top for clean sheets (6), goals conceded (3), attempts against (72), quality opportunities against (19) and xGA (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the strongest in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Superiority

Their effectiveness from free kicks is well known, but opposition teams still find it difficult to neutralize the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have scored 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals resulting from these situations.

"Arsenal can do a bit of everything now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just wary of them and it is excellent to see."

Title Claims

What is particularly impressive about Arsenal's commencement to the campaign is they have also faced Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United on the road and Manchester City on home turf - and are still leading by four at the top.

While they maintain victories, their traditional rivals face difficulties. This marks the premier instance at this stage of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The scrutiny was on manager Mikel Arteta at the outset, having spent around £250m on eight summer additions in pursuit of that long-awaited first title since 2004.

But the investment has so far paid off in remarkable manner, with his side one of the most prolific attacks in the league and having the strongest defense, despite several injuries.

  • Shutouts in three consecutive Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without allowing a goal
  • Only a trio of goals in 12 games across all competitions

Former players and analysts have labeled Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking hard to stop" with the whole club now operating with confidence and resolve.
